Nel Circolo (“In the Club”) is a series of photographs made into a republican party club in Ravenna. Republican Party is one of historical post world war II Italian parties. After the crisis of Italian political system in the Nineties, Republican Party almost disappeared. It still exists as a major party just in Romagna, in which the city of Ravenna is located. Political parties clubs have got a strong tradition in Emilia Romagna since the 50’s. They served as meeting places in which people played cards or billiards, drank and watched TV. These kind of places still exist but their number is rapidly decreasing due to the emergence of different social behaviors. Nel Circolo was made in the frame of “Dove viviamo”,  a project promoted by “Osservatorio Fotografico” (http://osservatoriofotografico.it/dove-viviamo/).
